LOVE WASHINGTON BUT LOVE ARIZONA TOO
I miss our adult kids and our grandkids when we spend the winters in AZ. I miss them SO MUCH!! But as I look at the night sky tonight I realize I also miss AZ. I miss the warm AZ evenings when it’s winter in the northern states where our families live and where I spent most of my life. I miss the palm trees and having fresh lemons, oranges and grapefruit in the middle of the winter.
I love WA because it’s home. It’s not only the home I’ve known all my life but, as I mentioned, it’s also home to our kids/grandkids so the pull to be in WA is incredibly strong. WA is beautiful. It has 4 distinct seasons. It has some of everything, mountains, ocean, desert, rain forest! You can see it all within this one state. Not many places can boast having the variety that is WA. If any of your travel plans include the State of Washington this website will help you get started.
AZ is new to me. We barely retired. Barely started living the RV life. It’s all new and fun to explore and having sunshine and 75+ degree weather when others are suffering through ice and snow is all so new to me. Being outside at 10:00 p.m. in the middle of January is a new kind of blessing. So yes, AZ has carved a new place in my heart and as much as I love being in WA during the summer months and spending the time with our family, I do miss AZ too. If your travel plans include the State of Arizona check their website. Enjoy your travels.
