Swap Meet Fun At The Mesa Market
How about an excursion for some swap meet fun at the Mesa Market? Located at 10550 E Baseline Rd Mesa, AZ, it is seriously the biggest swap meet style market I’ve seen. Winter hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. Admission is free. There is a variety of entertainment offered at the food court and coupons can be found here.
Be sure to have your most comfy walking shoes before tackling the market. You will be covering some miles and probably won’t be able to see it all in one trip. The parking lot alone covers 40 acres. Row upon row upon row of white open breezeway style tents house a mind boggling amount of vendors. Even on a warm day the breezeway setup of the market keeps the inside temperature comfortable.
A Shopping Experience Unlike Any Other
Locals, snowbirds and tourists all congregate here for a unique shopping experience. If you can’t find what you are looking for here, it’s probably not available anywhere. Even though I’m not a huge “recreational shopper,” the market is an experience I wouldn’t want to miss.

Our first trip to the market lasted just over 4 hours and we had only been through the first two rows of shops. Our second trip we ventured into two of the rows yet unseen and spent over three hours. We found the vendors to be friendly and helpful. Prices vary and there are some good deals to be found.
People Watching Anyone?
People watching is always entertaining and if that’s your choice there will be no shortage of opportunities. Have you seen the full body fitness vibration machines? They sell them at the market. While indulging in some people watching from our viewpoint at the snack bar, we saw those machines in action. Our view was of the person’s backside as they jiggled away on the machine. Can I just say not an attractive vantage point? The Husband wanted so badly to video it and put it here on this blog post about the Market. No, I informed him, that not only wasn’t an option, it also wasn’t very nice! I think my actual words were, “no freakin’ way!”
The market isn’t just a good place to shop for some outstanding deals. It’s also a place to get in some exercise miles for the day. It’s size and scope of shopping options alone mark it as one of the top swap meet style markets in the west. If you are a local make sure you take your out of town guests there for the experience. If you’re a snowbird or a tourist, plan a trip to the market. You won’t be sorry. It’s fun and you just never know what you might find there!
